Summer Nationals Marketing Intern (Summer Nationals/DIRTcar Midwest)
Duties:
* Travel to all the events in the 2012 DIRTcar Summer Nationals, including the Hell Tour and the Summit Equipment Modified Summer Nationals * Fulfill partnership agreement requirements, such as signage, displays, promotions, reporting and other functions * Communicate with WRG Client Services to ensure partnership fulfillment * Complete required paperwork * Clerical duties Candidate: * Must be a currently enrolled student in an accredited college or university * Preferred majors include Motorsports Management, Public Relations, Sports Management or Marketing * Must be able to travel throughout the Central US from early June 2012 through the end of July 2012 * Strong verbal communication skills * Self motivated, accountable, and energetic * Position requires frequent standing, walking, occasional climbing, kneeling, twisting and bending; must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds; frequent use of hands to grasp and feel; use of close vision Position: * Stipend paid a conclusion of internship at rate of $500/month (maximum of $1,500) * Eligible for standard sponsorship commission package of 6% of net (cash collected, no trade) if sponsorships are sold * Will be reimbursed $25/travel day as a meal per diem * Will be reimbursed mileage at the company rate if using personal vehicle Merchandise Team (World of Outlaws Sprint Series)
We're looking for a talented and energetic 2-person team for our World of Outlaws Sprint Series Merchandise rig.
Some important notes: * Full-time, year-round role * Over-the-road during racing season following the WoO Sprint Series schedule * Housing provided during the season in a toter * These positions sell, inventory, track and update approved WoO merchandise * These positions ensure accurate financial records and receipts * These positions mail online orders or other items as needed * These positions are responsible for driving the merchandise rig to and from each event The 2-person team should: * Have at least 3 years previous customer service and/or retail experience * Have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Outlook and Excel * Possess a valid Driver's License (CDL preferred) * Preferably at least one person on the team have experience operating and maintaining a large vehicle * Possess or be able to obtain a passport to enter/exit Canada with the rig * Be able to maintain a positive demeanor, even in highly stressful or demanding situations * Be dependable, honest and willing to take ownership of a situation Must include salary requirements for consideration Both members of the team should apply at the same time. Duties: * Assist in event execution which may include, and is not limited to: technical inspections, race operations, pit maintenance, timing and scoring, scoreboard operation, or other event-specific duties * Support the Race Director, General Manager, Event Manager or other designated event leader * Treat fans, competitors, team members and other officials with respect * Uphold DIRTcar and/or event rules and regulations * Answer questions related to the event, facility, schedule and/or other related items * Other duties as needed Candidate: * Able to stand or work without seating for a minimum of five hours * Knowledge of dirt motorsports strongly preferred * Able work in and around dust, engine noise, engine odor, heat and other outdoor elements * Strong personal and professional integrity * Able to communicate clearly and professionally even in high-stress situations * Able to see in natural light and/or direct or indirect fluorescent light * Able to use hand to grasp, hold and motion * Able to follow directions * Able to successfully pass a criminal background check and a screening for illegal drugs Concessions Staff (DeLeon Springs, FL)

Duties: * Collect and/or exchange tickets from guests * Sell tickets, wristbands, pit passes or other similar items for current and future events * Ensure accurate money collection and maintenance * Ensure the security of cash and credit information * Ensure accurate records of tickets/wristbands/pit passes or similar items sold * Within company policies and practices, work to ensure the satisfaction of our guests * Answer questions related to the events, facility, schedule and/or other related items * Other duties as needed Candidate: * Able to stand without seating for a minimum of four hours * At least 2 years of accurate cash handling experience * Able to perform simple addition and subtraction without a calculator * High level of personal and professional integrity * Able to see in natural light and/or non-direct fluorescent light * Able to use hand to grasp, hold and motion * Able to maintain calm demeanor at all times * Able to follow directions * Able to verbally communicate clearly with a variety of people * Able to successfully pass a criminal background check and screening for illegal substances Track Officials (Sarver, PA)

NOTE: * This will be an independent contractor relationship between the individual and World Racing Group whereby the contractor agrees to sell sponsorships for Lernerville Speedway and/or its events. * As an independent contractor, this individual will not considered an employee of World Racing Group in any capacity and will not be eligible for any WRG employee benefits, including but not limited to insurances, workers compensation or employee-only discounts. * While this position is an independent contractor, there will be mutually agreed upon sales/performance expectations which can end the agreement if unfulfilled. Summary: * 10% commission of the net (cash collected) agreement for sponsorships initiated and closed during the agreement
Preferred Contractor Skills: * At least 3 years of commission based sales experience, preferably in sponsorships or other promotional/marketing ventures * Ability to self-motivate and self-manage * Existing book of customers and ability to network * Knowledge of dirt motorsports is helpful Future Notification
