PR Coordinator (Contractor)

This is a non-employee, seasonal position designed to promote and publicize the Super DIRTcar Series and weekly sanctions in the Northeast US. This contract will end after Super DIRT Week annually.


Travel to events as necessary; provide race recaps immediately after an event; additional and/or extended race reports and/or features as needed
* Maintain and update current statistics on series
* Promote series to local, regional and national media; proactively establish and maintain those relationships to ensure coverage.
Write, edit and distribute pre-event articles, post-event summaries and other feature stories
* Interact with fans, drivers and other visitors before, during and after events; including but not limited to: event intermissions, promotional videos and event delays
* Manage social media channels for Super DIRTcar Series, including race day updates
* Assist on-site during events in multiple capacities
* Other duties as assigned

* Associates or Bachelor’s degree required; preferred focus in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Sports Management or English
* Knowledge of racing, especially short track or dirt, preferred
* Knowledge and use of Microsoft Office family of applications
* Mastery of both written and spoken English language required with solid grammar skills necessary
* Knowledge and use of Adobe design software, in particular Photoshop or Illustrator, helpful but not required
* Knowledge and use of web content management systems, specifically Joomla and Wordpress, helpful but not required
* Able and willing to work weekend and/or evenings as needed
* Able to juggle multiple high-priority tasks
* High sense of ownership and personal accountability
* Able to enter and exit the United States and Canada

This position is considered a contractor and, as such, is responsible for the filing and payment of all taxes. There are no benefits to this role.
