Director, Business Development (Concord, NC)

This role leads company sales endeavors with an emphasis on sponsorship and media sales, both through individual efforts and team selling.

Responsibilities:
* Work collaboratively with the Chief Marketing Officer to meet and exceed sponsorship and media sales objectives
* Responsible for the sale of Official Category sponsorships, major event sponsorships and a la carte opportunities (i.e., hospitality, display, digital, etc.)
* Identify, solicit, cultivate and close sponsorship and media packages
* Determine and package available inventory, such as: category exclusivity, World of Outlaws and/or Super DIRTcar Series event title sponsorships, hospitality/display space programs, promotional rights, digital rights and contingency partnerships
* Coordinate with remote and/or in-house sales staff to achieve revenue expectations
* Assist the Chief Marketing Officer in selling World of Outlaws Sprint Cars, World of Outlaws Late Models and Super DIRTcar Series title sponsorship, among other properties
* Maintain budget adherence
* Develop, manage and capitalize on partnerships with traditional ad/sports agencies
* Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
* Minimum of 7 years experience selling sponsorship and/or media
* Proven record of establishing meaningful relationships with ad/sports agencies and corporate decision makers
* Motorsports sales experience a plus
* High sense of ownership and personal accountability required
* History of exceeding sales objectives
* Ability to build decks, proposals, sales tracking and first draft agreements
* Proven history of successfully handling multiple projects simultaneously
* Able to maintain a positive demeanor, even in highly stressful or demanding situations
