Director, Series and Sanctions (NE)

This is a full-time, year-round position with whose primary purposes are to oversee the assigned series (including Super DIRTcar Series, 358, NE Sportsman and Pro-Stock Series) and to represent DIRTcar in all aspects of the sanctioned track relationship.

Responsibilities:
* Manage assigned series, including but not limited to:
   * Hiring, managing, training and coaching staff
   * Scheduling events throughout the season
   * Meeting budgets
   * Ensuring a competitive, safe and entertaining race event, including quality and quantity of competitors, track and event
      preparation, consistent and fair officiating and quality fan experience
   * Manage relationships with platinum drivers and track promoters
   * Ensure control and accuracy of company assets
   * Maintaining compliance with federal and local regulations and company practices
* Serve as the series and DIRTcar ambassador in the community by developing, fostering, growing and managing the DIRTcar relationship with current and future sanction tracks and series competitors
* Administer programs related to sanctioned tracks, including ensuring sanctioned tracks are compliant with DIRTcar rules, membership and procedures
* Actively participate in the preparation and overall management of all competition at select WRG marquee events, such as Super DIRT Week, World Finals, World Short Track Championships and DIRTcar Nationals
* Address and resolve complaints from fans, competitors and the community
* Perform hands-on activities when needed to ensure event operation and facility management
* Apply creative thinking and problem solving skills to address issues with increasing costs
* Other duties as assigned

Skills:
* At least five years of previous experience operating and promoting a motorsports series or facility
* Knowledge of and previous experience in short-track dirt motorsports preferred
* Previous budget management experience required
* Comfort with Microsoft suite of products necessary; ability to learn WRG systems necessary
* High sense of ownership and personal accountability required
* Sense of initiative necessary
* Able to apply traditional innovative problem solving skills
* Proven record of dependability and integrity
* Able to maintain positive demeanor, even in highly stressful or demanding situations
* Valid Driver's License required, CDL preferred

Of Note:
* This position is based in the Northeastern United States and works remotely. However, this position does necessitate regular overnight visits to the Concord, NC, office
* This position averages 80-100% overnight monthly travel during the racing season. In the off-season (November - January), overnight travel may decrease to 5-10% monthly
* Due to the nature of this role, this position may be utilized during weekend and/or evening hours, in addition to a traditional work week
* The person in this role must be able to enter and exit Canada
